Goal II. Tactics
2.1a Create a Curricular Review Committee in the Office of Academic Affairs that will evaluate outputs of existing programs and identify opportunities for new programs.
2.1b Implement administrative policies and resources for graduate programs to improve the timeliness of decisions and offer letters to international and domestic doctoral and postdoc candidates.
2.1c Invest in the selection and retention of star tenure faculty who lead grant-funded research and serve as catalysts to attract and fund postdocs and graduate student positions.
2.2a Develop and implement an international recruitment strategy, incorporating recommendations from the FSU Task Force on Recruiting International Graduate Students, Postdocs, and Faculty.
2.2b Enhance international education experiences by reconstituting central resources to streamline student advising on international studies, increase experiential learning, and promote research opportunities.
2.3a Expand international research collaborations through centralized support for connecting faculty to international scholars and funding opportunities through “FSU Global.”
2.3b Activate the International Program Study Centers and the Republic of Panama Campus as physical hubs for connecting international scholars and building international collaborations.
2.3c Create an inter-office communication team to strategize alumni engagement initiatives comprised of members from FSU Global, University Advancement, the Graduate School and academic units.
2.4a Create an "Arts at FSU" website that serves as a central hub for the arts academic programs, performances, and venues, with a consolidated performing arts calendar of events.
2.4b Form an advisory committee to plan and develop a funding strategy for an FSU Arts District to serve as a fine and performing arts destination on the FSU main campus to supplement existing performance venues and events.
2.4c Acquire and renovate a theater building to serve the College of Motion Picture Arts and expand the capabilities of the Torchlight Studios productions and screenings.
2.5a Create a steering committee of Humanities faculty and staff across academic programs to identify opportunities to promote a unified Humanities Center and collaborate on cross-disciplinary scholarship, events, and curriculum.
2.5b Incorporate Humanities Center fundraising into FSU Advancement efforts in order to support visiting scholars and Humanities programming.
