Farrukh Alvi

Dr. Alvi, Don Fuqua Eminent Scholar and Professor of Mechanical Engineering, serves as Senior Associate Provost leading dynamic, university-wide initiatives at FSU. He drives complex, interdisciplinary projects across STEM education, research, innovation, and economic development in close partnership with the Vice President for Research, academic deans, and campus centers and institutes. Additionally, he expands FSU’s strategic portfolio by forging high-impact global partnerships with international higher education institutions and research and development centers. He is a Fellow of the RAeS (Royal Aeronautical Society), and a Fellow of the ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers).
