Dr. McDowell is the John H. Phipps Professor of Communication in the College of Communication and Information. As Assistant Provost, he coordinates the university’s global engagement strategy and fosters international partnerships.  In particular, he collaborates with International Programs and the Center for Global Engagement to advance student opportunities and co-chairs the International Advisory Committee that promotes recognition and impact of all international activities at FSU.
