Dr. Alvi is the Don Fuqua Eminent Scholar and Professor of Mechanical Engineering.  As Senior Associate Provost, he leads some of FSU's most dynamic, university-wide initiatives related to STEM education, research, and innovation with significant economic development implications.  He is an Associate Fellow of AIAA (American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics), a Fellow of the RAeS (Royal Aeronautical Society), and a Fellow of the ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers).
