E. Joe Nosari , PhD

Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs

E. Joe Nosari holds a BA and MA in mathematics from the University of Arkansas and an MA and PhD in economics from the University of Kentucky. He came to the Florida State University as an Assistant Professor of Finance in the College of Business in 1970 and achieved the rank of Full Professor. While serving on the faculty of the College of Business, he held the positions of Associate Dean for Academic Programs and Associate Dean for Administration. He served as Interim Dean of the College of Business in 2005-06.

He was an active participant in the Graduate Management Admission Council from 1989 to 1993. Also, he served on several accreditation visitation teams of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

His research interests include applied economics, financial markets, and quantitative methods. His research is published in the Southern Economic Journal, the Journal of Money, Credit and Banking, and the Financial Review, to name a few. His contract and grant activity includes work in government procurement and disparity studies.
